Question 1

How is Rock Hard Cement priced in Jamaica?

Accepted Answer

One published price for everyone. A 42.5kg bag is J$1,350 before GCT (J$1,552.50 with GCT) and a 2-Tonne Bulk Bag is J$62,700 before GCT (J$72,105 with GCT). There are no tiers, no wholesale rates and no volume discounts to negotiate — homeowner, contractor, hardware store or distributor, the price is the same. Every quote lists the cement, the delivery charge for your town and 15% GCT separately.

Question 2

How much does cement delivery cost by parish?

Accepted Answer

Delivery fees are set by parish and load size. Kingston and St. Andrew are the lowest-fee zones (nearest to our Hillcrest Avenue warehouse); Manchester, St. Ann and St. James are mid-range; St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Hanover, Portland and St. Thomas are the highest. The full delivery matrix is shown on this page and included in every quote.

Question 3

Do you charge GCT on Rock Hard cement?

Accepted Answer

Yes — 15% General Consumption Tax (GCT) applies to Rock Hard Cement sales in Jamaica and is added on top of the product and delivery lines. Approved business accounts see GCT itemised separately on invoices and monthly statements for straightforward reconciliation.

Question 4

Is there a commercial or trade price?

Accepted Answer

The cement price is the same with or without an account, so there is no commercial rate to unlock. What a verified Rock Hard business account adds is convenience: saved delivery details, order and invoice history, statements, and — subject to credit review — purchase-order ordering on credit terms.
